On the 17th of September, Snom announced results of its recently commissioned research exploring how business adopted their communication strategies to the new age of working-from-home. Snom as an IP Phones manufacturer saw an increasing demand for its products, however most of the responders still rely on their mobile devices. Unsurprisingly, 90% of survey participants reported that they switched to remote working. Despite this 42% said that their communication methods didn’t change. Main take from this research suggests that 60% of those who have to work remotely are seeking for the opportunities that will improve audio and video conferencing quality. Snom suggests using desk phones which has more surface area for better speakers than can be implemented on a smart phone.
